Juice, Fruit & Roots

My business partner and I have started a juice bar in the Ikoyi section of Lagos, Nigeria. We serve freshly squeezed mango, pineapple, watermelon, coconut and orange juice. Added to the mix, if you'd like a smoothie, are bananas, papaya, and moringa powder for an extra nutritional boost.

On some nights, we also have palm wine available and moringa leaf tea w/ local honey. If you want something truly potent and incredibly healing try our special raw quail egg, moringa oil, pineapple, mango cocktail. It sure beats alcoholic mixes for a drink to elevate you mind, body and soul.

The decor of our juice bar is designed in collaboration with local artists and craftspeople, with the traditional Nigerian architecture in mind. Our bar is open air where you can enjoy the musical sounds wafting out from the live shows inside. We also have grilled fish, okro soup and eba available on select evenings. Come and join us!

Heavenly Quail Eggs

Raw quail eggs as a path to rejuvenation - who would have thought! According to ancient Chinese healing secrets, the benefits of consuming quail eggs include: healing infertility, curing diabetes and increasing sexual potency. These tiny protein-packed, nutritional powerhouses can help reduce body fat, cure asthma in children and improve memory and brain function. Having three per day will insure that the immune system is strong, the liver and kidneys are functioning optimally and the digestive tract is well maintained. Quail eggs contain vitamins A, D, B1, B2, B6, B12, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, zinc, iron, copper and many other micro-nutrients, minerals and amino acids necessary for a long, healthy, vibrant life.

"Adding quail eggs in your diet makes your body an environment unsuitable for cancer growth. This is because of the highly alkaline property of the quail eggs."  - Feather Buzz

Pepper Fruit

Cayenne Pepper Fruit is not the prettiest fruit, but what it lacks in appearance it makes up for in substance. This spicy, crunchy, nutty fruit is potent in its ability to heal, strengthen and revitalize the body. Munching on one of these peppery tidbits daily will eradicate digestive issues, eliminate psoriasis/eczema, stabilize fever and soothe head and toothaches. Pepper fruit, also known as ako in Edo, mmimit in Igbo, and ata igbere in Yoruba, gets its healing properties from a very high antioxidant, phenol and vitamin content. It has a mild stimulant effect and is useful for pregnant and postpartum women to build uterine strength. Often taken with kola nut and palm wine at Nigerian ceremonies, weddings and festivals, this indigenous gem increases blood flow to the heart and eyes, and thus can ward off heart attack and bring about vision health.

Yoga, Art & Africa

Yoga is the unifying art of transforming dharma (principle) into action, be it through inspired thought, properly nurturing our children, a painting, a kindness or an act of peace that forever moves humanity forward.
